PUPILS at Downpatrick Primary School have elected their councillors for the new School Council.
“The school has had a very successful School Council for many years and the pupil councillors have worked hard on projects for the school and the pupils,” explained Mrs Esme Thompson.
“The School Council had a very successful International Week last year with lots of activities organised to showcase different countries around the world, different foods and how people live.”
Miss Melanie Bates commented: “The children held elections within each class and a boy and a girl were elected and were presented to the school at a special assembly.
“We have a busy year ahead as we plan more exciting events for the school family this year.”
