MARK Gibson, Spa’s Golf Club’s current British and European wheelchair golf champion, enhanced his reputation further last week with a stunning hole in one.
Mark hit the ace at the par three eighth hole using a six rescue club during the regular Saturday Sweep competition.
“I reckoned it was a pretty good shot but the next thing my playing partner Ian Leeper was shouting ‘look, look’ and I watched it ping into the hole,” he said.
It was the third hole-in-one of Mark’s golfing career and he insisted the ball he used on this occasion was being “honourably retired” from playing duty.
