Thanks for new signs in Crossgar

14 July 2021

A CROSSGAR community official has thanked a businessman for his help in providing a number of new signs for the village.

Mr Paul Teggart said residents are indebted to the support of Adrian Humphreys from the Killyleagh Box Company for providing new ‘Keep Crossgar Tidy’ signs which have been placed throughout the village.

The community official has also confirmed that several young people involved in recent anti-social behaviour incidents have apologised for their behaviour.

“In addition, local youth officer, Nial Kielty, has suggested running a special event in the village for young people which is particularly welcome,” said Mr Teggart.

“The event would see young people joining forces in a litter picking initiative to help with a village clean-up. While a date for this has yet to be confirmed, it will help the young people have more respect for what is their village.”

Mr Teggart added: “Thanks again to Nial for coming up with this suggestion and I have no doubt that it will be widely supported.”
