Saintfield work given welcome

RESURFACING work in the Saintfield area has been welcomed by Rowallane councillor Jonny Jackson.

Department for Infrastructure contractors resurfaced a section of the Drumnaconnell Road off the Ballynahinch Road on the outskirts of the town and also resurfaced roads within the Moyra Drive and Moyra Park housing areas.

Cllr Jackson has thanked the DfI for carrying the work he’d been lobbying for which he said has greatly improved the respective locations.

He said residents in Moyra Drive had raised concern about the surface of both roads and footpaths with him.

“ Our rural and farming communities are also important and it’s great to see the Drumnaconnell Road resurfaced making access for road users a lot safer,” Cllr Jackson added.
