Newcastle’s ADHD Hub donates items to Down High School

25 September 2024

DOWN High School is grateful to have received a donation of school supplies from the ADHD Hub in Newcastle after the summer break.

The ADHD Hub is a Newcastle-based charity specialising in helping children and adults with ADHD, ASD and poor mental health, as well as other neurodiverse conditions.

It relies on volunteers and in return supports adults and young adults by helping them develop life skills and providing them with work experience that will benefit them in later employment.

Down High Year 10 student Katie Thornton made the most of her summer by volunteering in the coffee shop and providing support to less able volunteers.

This was a great opportunity and Katie got involved with creating the stationery packages that were sent to all feeder schools in the Newcastle area.
