Maurice showcases local landmarks in art display

AN exhibition of paintings by local landscape artist Maurice McClean is currently on show at the St Patrick Centre in Downpatrick.

Maurice McClean’s ‘Into The Blue’ exhibition runs until the end of October. Maurice graduated from Manchester Art College in 1982 and worked as a teacher for over 33 years.

Maurice says he feels grateful to be offered this opportunity to present his work at the St Patrick Centre, especially in these difficult times for anyone involved in the arts in Northern Ireland.

There are 30 paintings in the exhibition, mainly portraying areas around Strangford Lough.
