A FREE safety and wellbeing event will take place at Down Leisure Centre in Downpatrick on Monday, September 9.
Organised by Newry, Mourne and Down Policing and Community Safety Partnership (PCSP), the event will provide advice on ways to improve personal safety, health and wellbeing and is open to everyone.
Running from 10am to 2pm, it will feature over 25 information stands on drugs and alcohol use, financial support, general health, mental health and information on local support services and groups in the district area.
Newry, Mourne and Down PCSP chairperson Terry Andrews said: “In the face of collective challenges such as the cost-of-living crisis, the PCSP believes it is crucial for the residents of Newry, Mourne and Down to be aware of the local support available to them and how to access these resources to enhance their wellbeing and safety.
“We invite everyone to our free -in event where people will receive friendly advice that could positively impact their daily lives.”
