DUNDRUM kept their unbeaten start to the season running with a ten-point win over Saul on home turf.

Foundations for the win were laid in the first 20 minutes of the contest when the hosts landed 2-5 without reply as Saul were steamrolled out of the way.

Rachelle Connolly and Caoimhe Coughlan nabbed the goals with Adele McGrattan, Chloe Trainor, Coughlan and two frees from Rachelle Connolly contributing to the points total.

Once Saul found their feet they hit 1-1 either side of a Caoimhe Coughlan point. Ella Rourke was the point scorer with Gráinne Laverty getting the goal.

Dundrum responded strongly with Alice McAlea hitting a minor before Adele McGrattan rasped a screamer to the top corner of the Saul net.

Saul managed their second goal before the break with Connolly and Coughlan pointing to give Dundrum a 3-9 to 2-1 half-time lead.

The second half took on a completely different complexion.

Saul upped their game and outscored their hosts 1-3 to 0-5.

The visitors probed, but Dundrum were always in control as they did what they needed to do to see the game out and secure a solid victory.
