Drama group prepares for The Grinch

6 November 2019

THE Downpatrick drama group, Dramability has scored yet another sell-out of its double performance of The Grinch for its annual Christmas pantomime.

The mixed ability drama group will be performing the story of the Christmas-hating grumpy character at Down Arts Centre on December 14-15.

Twenty five people will be treading the boards to capture some of the humour and magic from the popular movie made famous by Jim Carrey.

Run by local mother and daughter Betty and Sara Liddell since 1991, Dramability aims to give both people aged from eight to eighty an opportunity to come together in drama.

The group held a full dress rehearsal last week and the panto promises to be a colourful one.

Dramability is now taking names for a shortlist of people in case for returned tickets, and would urge anyone who has tickets and cannot attend, to return them for re-sale.
