A PUPIL at Assumption Grammar School has been awarded a prestigious prize for her strength of spirit and resilience.
Cara McLaughlin is the winner of the 2025 Rosaleen McConn Award.
She received the award from John Loughran, owner of the Sandymount Hotel in Dublin.
The Loughran family set up the award to honour their mother, Rosaleen McConn, who attended Assumption Grammar School in the 1940s.
The annual sponsorship is awarded to a student who has exhibited great strength of spirit and resilience and who has made a contribution to the Fully Alive ethos of the school.
Cara was nominated by her teachers for her ability to overcome many challenges and for her positive attitude to life and school.
She was presented with a Dublin crystal trophy and will also enjoy an overnight stay at the Sandymount Hotel.
