Aromatherapy wellbeing help for students

Aromatherapy wellbeing help for students

25 November 2020

STUDENTS at St Colman’s High and Sixth Form College in Ballynahinch are being offered

aromatherapy sessions to help support and improve their wellbeing.

The sessions are part of the school’s development plan and are conducted by beauty therapy teacher Miss Claire O’Neill.

Students are provided with the opportunity to learn about some holistic therapies and enjoy the benefits that these therapies can bring in terms of relaxation and focusing the mind positively.

During these practical sessions, pupils work on each other using essential oils such as lavender, lemon, chamomile and peppermint, recognising the benefits of such oils to each individual’s needs.

The sessions have proved popular with many students, allowing new avenues of mindfulness to be explored.
