Saintfield Striders Amanda Jackson and Victoria Kelly took on the scenic Clandeboye 10k, organised by Coastal Runners NI.
Set within the beautiful grounds of Clandeboye Estate, the race offers runners a mix of gravel paths and trail, including a section leading towards the historic Helen’s Tower.
The picturesque surroundings make for a wonderful running experience, although the mixed terrain provides a good test of the legs.
Both Amanda and Victoria flew the Striders flag, with Victoria enjoying a particularly successful outing as she claimed 1st Female in the race.
A fantastic result for Victoria and a great achievement to add to her running CV. Amanda also deserves recognition for her efforts on the day, contributing to another excellent display of club participation and commitment.
With Belfast Half Marathon next weekend and cross-country on the horizon, the Striders will be hoping to carry this momentum into the weeks ahead.
Congratulations to Alan, Gillian, Lesley, Nicola, Amanda and Victoria on their performances. Whether tackling an iconic international half marathon or racing through the beautiful County Down countryside, every effort is a credit to the club.
