THERE was a lot of excitement in the air at Downpatrick Primary School when the ‘Play It by Ear Team’ came to school recently to present their Nativity panto.

Mr Stevenson, school principal, said the panto took the children through the Nativity story in an active and engaging way.

“The actors, Ross and Chris, gripped everyone’s attention with their high energy performances and fast-moving pace,” he continued.

“It has been a real highlight of the children’s festive season so far and they were all so engaged, from P1 right up to P7.”

Mr Stevenson added: “I must thank Billy Fyffe, youth and community pastor with the Lecale Area Mission Partnership, who organised the team’s visit to our school. 

“It has been an excellent start to our school Christmas celebrations in December.”
