Killinchy walk will take place again in aid of Action MS

A KILLINCHY and district community walk in aid of Action MS will be held on Saturday, September 22.

Supported by BBC Northern Ireland presenter Karen Patterson, it follows the success of last year’s event, which raised over £2,000 for the charity.

Leaving from Killinchy Presbyterian Church car park on the Craigarusky Road, the walk starts at 10.30am, with registration at 10am.

Gary McCreery, who led the walk last year, said he was delighted Karen had offered to lend her support to the walk.

“I have been associated with this particular charity, Action MS, for some 30 years,” said Gary. “I know the important work that they do in supporting people living with multiple sclerosis. This walk offers the community an opportunity to unite for this very worthy cause.

“I would encourage the various organisations representing all ages and indeed as many individuals as possible to take part.”

Northern Ireland has the second highest incidence of multiple sclerosis in the world and all proceeds from the walk will be spent providing practical help and support to people living with MS, their families and carers.
