20th anniversary of Claragh Bridge Vintage Club show

17 July 2024

CLARAGH Bridge Vintage Club is hosting its 20th anniversary event next Saturday.

The July 27 event is in aid of Cancer Research NI and Angel Wishes along with other small charities.

To date, the cross-community Club has raised over £120,000 for local charities from its various shows and vehicle road runs.

Next Saturday’s event takes place adjacent to Claragh Bridge, in the usual field at the intersection of the Ballynahinch and Carnreagh roads.

There will be musical entertainment provided by Boxcar Brian, Country Harmony and Katie McParland plus other musicians and line dancers to mark the 20th anniversary.

The emphasis is on a family fun day out, with a wide range of activities lined up including music, children’s entertainment, stalls and stands, country fayre and many vintage vehicles which have been lovingly restored by their owners.

Ahead of the event, organisers are keen that all payments be made in cash as there will be no credit card machines.

In addition, all children attending the event, should be accompanied by an adult, to ensure the safety of all at the show.

Parking for all visitors is in adjacent fields, where there will be a designated area for disabled drivers.

Organisers are grateful for the support of advertisers, sponsors, show volunteers, Newry, Mourne and Down Council, the PSNI, vehicle participants, health and safety officials and many other supporters to help to make the show a success.
