“We really pulled together to ensure our local community was looked after with the best customer service and range of products, after the flood.

“We continue to serve the community with the best in modern convince retailing and I would like to thank the entire team for their unwavering commitment and hard work.”

The judges also praised Eurospar Killyleagh for its “vital community service”.

“This is a company-owned store, but it’s run like an independent,” one judge said.

Eurospar Killyleagh is owned by Henderson Retail, which picked up four awards in total.

Mark McCammond, retail director at Henderson, said: “The Retail Industry Awards get more competitive every year, and we’re delighted to meet that challenge head on and come away with a host of respected awards.

“We are delighted that Eurospar Killyleagh has received recognition for its dedication to the local community and the vital services they provide with the Post Office.

“Both the Post Office and store teams work as one to provide for the local community, which the judges agreed has made the business a true success.”
