Minister views Drumlin's school site

7 December 2016

EDUCATION Minister Peter Weir has visited the site of Drumlin’s Integrated Primary School’s new £3m build.

He visited the school to view progress on the state-of-the-art seven classroom school, which was announced in 2014 following a lengthy campaign by governors and staff.

The Minister said he welcomed the opportunity to visit the school and added that ongoing investment in the schools estate was essential to allow the continuation of a high quality education.

“Investment in our schools estate also benefits the local economy and secures construction jobs,” he said.

“I would like to thank everyone involved with this project for their hard-work and commitment in taking the project to this point. I wish everyone well for the future and look forward to visiting when the build has been completed.”
