THE young man who died in a single vehicle collision at the Temple last weekend was David McDonald.
The 21 year-old – who was a passenger in a car which crashed shortly after 7pm last Saturday – was from the Carryduff area. He tragically died at the scene of the accident.
Police revealed the young man’s name on Monday and confirmed the weekend crash involved a blue Vauxhall Corsa at the Carryduff Road area of the Temple.
The emergency services rushed to the scene with the driver of the vehicle, who was also in his 20s, sustaining injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening.
The Carryduff Road which was closed overnight to allow further enquiries and reopened to traffic the following morning.
Police investigating the circumstances of the collision have issued an appeal for information and want to hear from witnesses or anyone who may have captured dash-cam or other footage of the incident which could assist them with their enquiries.
