SAINTFIELD-BASED choir, The Lindsay Chorale, raised the roof of the Great Hall at Parliament Buildings, Stormont, recently in aid of the Rosie’s Trust charity.
A wonderful evening of song, led by music director Keith Acheson and hosted by Julian Simmons, was enjoyed by over 200 guests.
The choir presented a medley of songs and the audience were treated to an a performance by The Priests, who were the special guests.
Rosie’s Trust ambassadors Lisa McGee, writer of Derry Girls, and Ibe Sesay, of Q Radio, praised the charity for the vital work it does in helping people facing terminal illness and difficult times to keep their pets by their side when they need them the most.
The Rosie’s Trust celebrates its tenth anniversary next month and is the only charity in Northern Ireland caring for both people and their companion pets.
Aileen Martin, chair of Rosie’s Trust, and member of The Lindsay Chorale, thanked guests, performers and ambassadors for what she described as a “truly magical evening”.
“We are so grateful for everyone’s generous support of the Rosie’s Trust,” she said.
“Our charity provides a lifeline to some of the most vulnerable people in our community, and our work would not be possible without this kindness and generosity.”
