KATHLEEN O’Toole has always enjoyed writing.

Now retired, she has found the time to put together a collection of poems called ‘Enjoy the Moment’.

Her great loves in life are nature and animals, which are reflected in this collection she has published with AuthorHouse.

Kathleen, who lives in the townland of Ballykilbeg, outside Downpatrick, is a former civil servant who recently acquired a degree in English Literature from the Open University.

After much persuasion, she agreed to put together a first collection of her poems.

“I love to write about nature and my thoughts on life,” said Kathleen. “I love nature, I love animals and going for walks in the country.”

Kathleen said she had always been writing “wee things” since she was a child.

“My mother called me a chronic student,” she said. “Writing is just something I have always wanted to do. Once you get that bug, nothing else will do it for you.

“The poets I have loved reading myself are WB Yates, Patrick Kavanagh, and or course Seamus Heaney.”

Kathleen hopes to continue writing and hopes readers will enjoy her first offering.’

Enjoy the Moment’ is available through the AuthorHouse website and online retailers such as Amazon.
