Grace Fellowship Church -in

ALLIANCE representatives attended a local community -in at the Grace Fellowship Church in Ballynahinch.

Strangford MLA Nick Mathison was joined by local councillors Tierna Howie and David Lee-Surginor.

The Ballynahinch church hosts drop-in weekly sessions at its Space for Grace’ building at the Belfast Road in the market town. The drop-in provides a welcoming space where people can enjoy tea and coffee, warmth, and community.

Mr Mathison said it  was great to meet the team at Grace Fellowship and witness the fantastic work they do in Ballynahinch.

“The community drop-in is a safe, warm and welcoming space for everyone, including vulnerable members of the community,” he explained.

“We also heard about their other initiatives, such as life skills courses, food deliveries, and support for those facing isolation, debt, or mental health challenges.”

Cllr Tierna said the Grace Fellowship is incredibly friendly and welcoming.

“It was a pleasure to meet them and discuss the issues impacting people in Ballynahinch. I look forward to supporting their important community work in the future,” she added.

Cllr David Lee-Surginor said the Grace Fellowship plays a vital role in supporting constituents across Ballynahinch, adding:

“Their numerous initiatives help those who need it most. I encourage anyone feeling isolated or in need of support to attend their community drop-in every Tuesday morning.”
