ONE of the district’s leading charities has been thanked by relatives of one of its clients who died last year.
Good Morning Down provides a telephone befriending service to elderly and vulnerable people across the district and is based in Downpatrick.
Recently, Ian McConvery, accompanied by his wife Nora, visited the charity’s base to thank the volunteers for all they did for his mother Ida who was a Good Morning Down client for 10 years up until her passing.
Mr McConvery and the other members of his family wanted to acknowledge and show their appreciation for the service provided to their mum over many years by Good Morning Down through a very generous donation to the organisation.
Charity officials have thanked the McConvery family for their donation and described it’s a “most thoughtful and welcome gesture”.
