Events at Spa and Magherahamlet

HOLIDAY Bible Weeks were held at Spa and Magherahamlet Presbyterian Churches recently.

A holiday Bible Club was held at the Arnold Hall, Spa, from Monday, July 29, to Friday, August 2.

Sixty-five children aged P1–P6 attended, taking part in crafts and games, while also learning Bible stories.

With July marking the 50th anniversary of the historic Apollo 11 moon landing, the week had a space theme.

A barbecue was held on the Friday evening for the leaders, children and their families.

Meanwhile, youth Bible evenings for those in P7 to 18 years were held at Magherahamlet Presbyterian Church from Tuesday to Thursday of last week.

The theme this year was ‘Immeasurably More’, based on Ephesians 3:20. Guest speakers were Josh Johnston-Wood and Jasmine Beattie.

On the final evening there was a campfire and toasted marshmallows.
