Downpatrick firm in running for top award

LOCAL company Trackars Healthcare has been shortlisted for a prestigious award.

The company, which has offices based in Downpatrick and Belfast, is a finalist in the FSB (Federation of Small Businesses) Celebrating Small Business Awards.

The company has been nominated for Scale Up Business of the Year in the awards, which showcase the best small business from throughout Northern Ireland.

The awards aim to recognise the enterprise, innovation and accomplishment of small businesses and their contribution to regional and national economies.

Trackars Healthcare, which will celebrate 12 years in business this year, provides healthcare and nursing services to users throughout Northern Ireland and has over 250 employees.

Patricia Casement, managing director of Trackars, said the firm is truly honoured to have been shortlisted for the award.

“Northern Ireland has a wealth of successful small business that are growing and going from strength to strength and to be recognised in this competitive category is a great achievement,” she said.

“At Trackars, we have placed a huge focus on growing the business to offer high quality health and home care to the public, by diversifying and addressing the needs of both our potential service users and our employees in order to continually deliver top class care to those who require it.”

The ceremony will take place on Thursday, February 1 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Belfast.
