Down High students shine brightly on silver screen

DOWN High School students have shone bright in moving image arts.

Alice Edgar, from Year 13, was awarded third place in Northern Ireland by CCEA for her GCSE film, ‘Lights Out’.

AS and A Level Moving Image Arts students attended the CCEA MIA showcase awards in the SSE Arena Belfast and had the chance to watch Alice’s award-winning film on the big screen, along with the other Northern Ireland finalists for both live action and animation categories.

Although not presented at the showcase, Henry Mitchel and Jamie Marshall were also shortlisted in the top 10 in the GCSE Animation and A2 Animation categories respectively.
