Conor crowned motocross king

20 September 2017

IT has been a year to remember for 15 year-old Kilmore teenager Conor Mullan in the fast and furious world of motocross racing.

Conor, a son of well known Crossgar garage owner James Mullan has just completed a memorable double.

Conor blazed to victory in the Ulster and Irish Youth Championships with a round to spare.

Conor, who first got on a bike at the age of three, has been racing for ten years. He is the youngest member of the Hitachi Construction Machinery KTM-UTC team which is run by well-known Crossgar businessman Roger Magee.

To clinch Ulster and Irish titles in the same year is some achievement and Conor has done it in style. The dedicated teenager is surely a star of the future and has the full support of his dad and also mum Catherine and sister Karen.

Next season Conor intends to continue in the youth events, but he also hopes to take part in selected races in the UK, as well as venturing into adult races as the season progresses.

Conor would like to thank his dad for all his help and guidance over the years, his current team and sponsors, and all who have supported him to date in his chosen sport.

Here’s wishing him every success in the future.
