7 November 2018

A CASTLEWELLAN food company has been shortlisted for major business awards.

TS Foods, which makes chilled and frozen food products, has been nominated in two categories at this years Business Eye First Trust Awards.

The BEFTAs 2018 — successor to the former UTV Business Eye Awards — recognise excellence, growth and innovation across Northern Ireland’s diverse business landscape.

TS Foods, which was founded in 1978 by husband-and-wife team Tony and Ann Steele, produces a wide range family favourites including Tony’s Chippy, TS Foods Stuffings and Ann’s Kitchen, as well as a large number of foodservice and bespoke products.

The company has been shortlisted in both the Family Business of the Year and Manufacturer of the Year categories.

TS Foods Managing Director Joanne Molloy said: “We are so pleased to have been shortlisted in these highly prestigious awards, which recognise not just our efforts as a company, but the efforts of all businesses across the province.”

She continued: “2018 has been a significant year of growth for us, both in terms of our products and our team, and is particularly poignant for us as it’s our 40th year of operation and this is a lovely way to round it off.”

“We’re very proud to have been considered and included in such a strong line up of contenders. We wish to extend our congratulations to both our fellow category nominees and all other shortlisted companies and wish everyone best of luck for the awards evening!”

The awards ceremony will take place in the Waterfront Hall, Belfast, on Thursday, November 22.
